Dan Basil holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, where he specialized in Governance and Global Justice. He has collaborated with six professors on research projects focused on African politics, urbanization, land policies, devolved governance, and conflict resolution. His interest in international trade led him to intern at the Northern California World Trade Center.
A passionate writer, Basil has won several national and regional essay contests. As a former Fulbright Scholar, he brings four years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research, as well as editorial work. Guided by the philosophy of Ubuntu, he firmly believes that collective effort can overcome any challenge. Basil envisions uniting the youth in his district to transform their dry town into a thriving young forest.
